Islamic counselling

Islamic counselling

Islamic teachings and guidance empower Muslims in all aspects of their lives. There is no challenge or difficulty where we can not benefit from Islamic teachings, values and our connection with Allah s.w.t.

We can get inspiration and guidance during every challenge and on every aspect of our life from the Holy Quran, ahadith, our rich collection of supplications and the lives of our role models.

Many Muslims feel that their faith is important to them and therefore at Zamzam Muslim Counselling and CBT, I aim to integrate Islamic values and goals in therapy.

To sum it up, my approach is not pure Islamic counselling in the literal sense of the word, rather it is about making therapy more adaptive and integrative by keeping in sight Islamic values and perspectives. Many of my clients have expressed that they found this approach very relevant and meaningful when working through difficult issues.

When my clients have specific Islamic queries, I either discuss this with an Islamic scholar, support the client to speak to a scholar they trust or sign post them to a scholar from their particular school of thought.
